NagaWorld dismisses statement that a Canadian male infected with COVID-19 is an employee

A 50-year-old Canadian male is not an employee of NagaWorld as reported by several media.

NagaWorld’s Chief Human Resource Officer, Hein Dames told Khmer Times that they have checked their personnel records and do not have any employee working there under that description and especially one who has been tested COCID-19 positive.

This morning, the Ministry of Health, in their statement said that the 50-year-old male was working in a casino in Phnom Penh, giving rise to several media reports wrong identifying the said victim as a Naga employee.

“We would like to clarify that we do not have any employee infected with the virus and any reference to Naga is misleading. We have very stringent health checks in place since January and these measures, we feel are adequate to deter any person who has any symptoms of the virus from even entering the property.

“We have thoroughly checked all our records, including business partners and contractors and reiterate that NagaWorld does not have any such employee,”Mr Dames said.
